Sharpener that you've never experience before

Concept of Sharpening & Difference

A perfect match for radius 800
The Japanese precision shear has a radius of 800 millimeters on its edge line. The machine is perfectly designed to match this shear’s structure. By placing the shear on the sharpening machine (held in place by a bracket) and by making a back-and-forth movement against the sharpening disks, the blade is automatically sharpened at a radius of 800 millimeters.

Maintains the factory edge
The edge of the blade is invariably diminished during sharpening. However, reducing the materials on the edge results in a shorter life for shears. The machine has solved this problem. Fragments of diamonds or diamond powder have been applied to the disks used in sharpening and buffing with the machine. Thus, the materials on the blade remain largely intact. Most other sharpening methods involve the use of a grinding stone that may result in the destruction of the materials on the blade and shortening the life of the shears.

Care Instructions

Proper care for your scissors for the first few days after the day of purchase or sharpening is the user's responsibility.

1) The blades are now extremely sharp & dangerous. Please be careful. It is advised that you cut less hair than usual with each stroke for the first few cuts you perform. This will help condition your scissors and allow them to remain sharp for a longer period of time.

2) The blades are very sharp and are in a delicate state. Therefore, friction of the blades will cause fine metal grain to come up. This may make using the scissors uncomfortable or difficult. The metal grain will be mixed with pieces of hair, oil, and cuticles and stick to your blades. Please fold a sheet of paper towel a few times to make it thick, and then wipe your blades clean on both sides. This will also allow your scissors to remain sharp. Please proceed with caution when wiping the blades.

3) For example, a pencil that has just been sharpened will easily make pencil grinds. A similar thing is happening with your scissors. Also, a pencil that is hard and light in color, will write thinner lines for a longer time, but a pencil used for sketching is soft and dark in color, which will produce more pencil grinds, writing thin lines will be difficult, and will be used much quicker. In the same way, scissors will have fine metal grain come up by friction; the blades wear each other off and eventually dull. (The speed in which the scissors dull depend on the material of the scissors.)

4) After using your scissors, wipe your scissors clean, let them dry, lubricate the center (slightly below the screw) of your scissors with oil, and adjust the pressure by tightening/loosening the screw periodically. Again, this will help extend some time until your next re-sharpening. Depending on the material and length of the scissors, you might need some time to condition them to your liking, but if it seems that your scissors still aren’t cutting well, it might be that you’re trying to cut more hair than what the scissors are capable of. Finding the right amount of hair to cut with each stroke for your scissors will help keep your scissors sharp.

5) Scissors right after sharpening are so sharp that it will catch even the cuticles. When you perform slide cuts or point cuts, please consider cutting at a less steep angle than usual for the first few days. Please see www.sss-ks.com.
